Разработка урока английского языка по теме "Food" к учебнику "Smart" 6 класс

Разработка урока английского языка по теме «Food» в 6 классе.
Тема: Food.
Цели:
1.Тренировка учащихся в употреблении лексики по данной тематике;

2. Тренировка речевых образов:
Do you like…?

Do you add…?
What do you have for breakfast?
3. Развитие монологической и диалогической речи.
4. Практика в восприятии и понимании речи на слух с опорой на наглядность и без.
5. Развитие памяти и логического мышления.
6.Воспитание чувства коллективизма, взаимопомощи друг другу.
Оборудование:
- кроссворд;
- карточки с текстами и заданиями;
- таблицы cо стихами и песней;
- учебник.

Ход урока.

I. Начало урока. Организационный момент.Приветствие.

-Good day, our guests! We are glad to see you.
-Good afternoon, children! How are you?
-First of all let me introduce our teams.The first one is called "Shop-keepers” and the second team is called "Customers”. But sometime we‘ll work all together.

II. Сообщение задач урока.

- Our topic today is "Food”. We’ll talk about English breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea-time and supper. We’ll discuss the origin of chocolate. At the lesson we’ll read and listen to the texts "English meals”, "Tea” and "Where does chocolate come from?” So, let’s start our work.

III. Фонетическая зарядка.

1) Listen to me and repeat….
2) Tasks for teams: Match these words and their translations.
3) Read the poem "What do you like?”

WHAT DO YOU LIKE?

I like ice – cream.
She likes sweets.
I like cookies.
He likes cheese.

I like coffee.
She likes tea.
I love you.
Do you love me?

-Who wants to tell this poem by heart?
-Do you like…? Does he/she like…?
IV. Речевая зарядка.
1) -You must answer my questions.-What is it?
- What are they?


2) Look at the crossword and find 6 words(across) for "Customers” and 6 words(down) for "Shopkeepers”;

Put some, a, an.
3) Countable and uncountable nouns.
-Listen to me and clap your hands if you hear countable nouns.
Sugar, tomatoes, water, oranges, orange juice, chocolate, sweets, potatoes, cheese, ham, sandwiches, meat, bananas, salt,
cucumbers, eggs.

V. Работа с текстом " English meals”.

1) Read the poem "Who likes what?”;
2) Before reading-What do you eat for breakfast? (for dinner, for supper)
- All people are different. English people like cereals very much, but they don’t eat only cereals for breakfast and drink tea for dinner and lunch. Now read the text and answer the questions.
English meals.
English people eat toasts, marmalade, scrambled or boiled eggs, bacon and cornflakes for breakfast ( in the morning ).
The biggest meal of the day is lunch. It’s usually at 1 o’clock . They eat fish and chips, meat with potatoes, hamburgers but sometimes hot dogs and pizza.
British and American boys and girls take packed lunches to school. They like oranges, apples, cheese, ham sandwiches, banana sandwiches, yoghurt and chocolate.
Englishmen have their dinner at 7 o’clock in the evening.
But the most important time for Englishmen is tea – time at 5 o’clock. They like to drink tea with scones and jam.

Questions: What is usual English breakfast?
What do they eat for lunch?
What do E. and A. children eat at school?
When do English people have their dinner?
When do they have their tea-time?
Tasks for teams: Decide if these sentences are true or false (according to the text).
1) The usual English breakfast is cereal.
2) They drink only coffee for breakfast.
3) Lunch is the smallest meal of a day.
4) For lunch English people eat only hot dogs and pizza.
5) Englishmen have their lunch at 7 o’clock in the evening.
6) They like drinking tea with cakes.
7) The most important time for Englishmen is tea-time at 5 o’clock.

VI. Аудирование текста " Tea”.

- Do you know what is the national drink of Britain?
- Here is what Gladstone, the Victorian Prime Minister wrote about it:
"If you are cold , tea will warm you,
If you are heated it will cool you.
If you are depressed it will cheer you,
If you are exited it will calm you.”
-We know that English people like tea very much and tea-time is the most important time for them.
Listen to the text and answer the questions.
Tea.
Russian people like tea. English people like tea, too. They drink a lot of tea. They have tea for breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper. Some English families have two or three cups of tea at tea-time.
English people drink tea from cups, not from glasses. In England many people usually drink tea with sugar and milk, not with lemon. They call tea with lemon "Russian tea”.

- Do you understand this text? Translate: tea with milk, tea with lemon, drink tea from cups glasses).
- Do you like tea with lemon ( milk )?
- Do you like English or Russian tea?
- Do you like drinking tea from cups or from glasses?

VII. Тренировка употребления структуры:Do you add…?

- English people like drinking tea with chocolate. We are lucky today. Let’s meet the director of chocolate factory.
Director: My name is Mrs. Brown. I’m the director of chocolate factory. Do you know where chocolate comes from? The article from the newspaper may help us.(reading)

Where does chocolate come from?
Chocolate grows on trees – but not looking like candy bars you like to eat.
Chocolate really comes from cacao beans. The beans are the seeds of
the cacao fruit. They grow on cacao trees in lands where the weather is very hot.
The beans are dried and shipped to chocolate factories. There they
are roasted and ground up into cocoa butter. In a big mixer, the cocoa butter is blended with sugar and milk to make milk chocolate.
Then the chocolate is put in stores where we can buy it .

- Where does chocolate come from?
- Where do cacao trees grow?
- You may ask your questions to the director of chocolate factory.
Работа с таблицей: add nuts into your chocolate;
add raisins into your chocolate;
make chocolate eggs;
make chocolate toys.
VIII. Физкультминутка.

IX. Работа с учебником.

- We buy all goods and products at the supermarkets.
Task: Open your SB(p.46,ex.2a), read the task…. . You must listen to the tape and answer :
What are they going to buy?
Look at the picture (ex.2b). This is their shopping.
What’s on the table?

X. " The shopping game.”

- The customers must ask the shopkeepers what they have in the shop.
(e.g.-Do you have any…..?
-Sorry, not today.(Yes, we have some…..
XI. Работа над диалогом.
Task: Complete these dialogues using some, a, any and read them.
a)
- Hello, …!
- Hi!
- Where are you going to?
- I’m going to the shop.
- And what are you going to buy?
- I’m going to buy……
- Do you want to help your mum?
- Yes, I do.
- Good- luck!
- Buy!

b)
- Hello! Can I help you?
- Hello! Do you have….?
- Sorry, not today.
- And what about fruits?
- Yes, there are ……
- Please, may I have ….
- Please, here they are.
- Thank you. Buy!
- Buy!

XII. Групповое задание.
Each team will receive and discus the task, then-answer what you eat and drink.

Chicken , pizza , chips , fish , spaghetti , bread , eggs , cheese , chocolate , milk , salad , cabbage , water, cola , orange juice , apples , bananas , tomatoes , sugar , biscuits , soup.

XIII. Песня "He likes chicken.”

XIV. Заключительный этап.
- So, our lesson is over. The final score is… .Let’s congratulate the winners. Thank you for your work. Your marks are ………. You are hard-working pupils. You H/W p.47 ex.3a.
